This week Chuck and I talk about all sorts of things. Horror news; Ghostbusters (ugh), Halloween and some other stuff I can’t recall because it was late. We also talk a little bit about The VVitch and we review Blue Undergrounds double feature blu-ray of The Millions Eyes of SuMuru and The Girl From Rio (Rio 70).
This week on Exorcast, Chuck and I are reunited with The Newsfinder General and he actually does his job for once. We tackle The House With 100 Eyes from Artsploitation Films, Vinegar Syndromes blu-ray release of Madman, The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Miss Osbourne from Arrow Video and Severin’s fantastic looking blu-ray release of Franco’s Vampyros Lesbos kinda puts me to sleep. Of all people how can Jess Franco make something like this boring? I also threaten to replace Chuck.
This week we watched 55 (!!!) outstanding trailers from Severin Films with their new release of Grindhouse Trailer Classics on DVD. We also go to town on the first batch of Arrow Video releases for the U.S. which include Mark of the Devil, Blind Woman’s Curse and Day of Danger!
This week I am joint by The Newsfinder General and the come back from the one, the only, the pumpkin faced cocksucker himself…Vincent Renfield. We are also joined by Dr. Jimmy Terror a.k.a. James Harris from – http://www.docterror.com – to help kick off Italian Horror Week III on his site by reviewing some Italian horror films! We decided to go for some of the less talked about films, so first up is Mario Bava’s Shock (Beyond The Door II), Francesco’s Barilli’s The Perfume of the Lady in Black and the newly released (but not in the USA) Tulpa (Perdizioni mortali) directed by Federico Zampaglione! We also take a look at the newest released from One Way Static Records with Roberto Donati’s score for Umberto Lenzi’s Cannibal Ferox (Make Them Die Slowly).
This episode we do a retrospective on William Lustig’s Maniac Cop 1, 2 and 3: Badge of Silence! We take a look at the blu-ray’s the first being released by Synapse and the sequels were sent to us by Blue Underground. We also review the newest films from Artsploitation Films, Toad Road directed by Jason Banker. Toad Road also leads us into the most serious conversation and debate we have ever had on Exorcast.
On this weeks show we review Nico B’s Why God Permits Evil which is made up of two short films he did 1999’s Pig and 2012’s 1334, we also review Horror Planet a.k.a. Inseminioid directed by Norman J Warren and Henrique Couto’s Bleeding Through! We give Last Rites to Roger Watkins notorious 1977 Last House On Dead End Street brought to you from Bloodwave DVD! We announce this weeks two winners for our contest with DiabolikDVD to win two Mondo Macabro DVDs. Did you win!? Listen to find out! For all of you hipster, metalhead vinyl collectors like us, we are giving away not one but TWO copies of Ancient Shores’ Step To The Edge 7in EP! Vincent tells you how to win one of these bad boys so listen closely to that pumpkin faced fuck. We play a few of their tunes on this show in order Park Bench Baptism, Omen and Client State! This week we are back to our normal routine. We review The Pact directed by Nicholas McCarthy, Darren Lynn Bousman’s The Barrens and Giulio De Santi’s Taeter City! All three are from 2012, I think that may be a first for this show! For Last Rites we take a look at Massacre Video’s VHS release of Donald Farmer’s 1986 Demon Queen!
