In a world where vinyl exists, who listens to CD’s anymore? I had to hook my disc changer back up so I could actually check this thing out. But, 
seriously this is a really awesome set, do I wish it was on vinyl?Yes, I do, but Varese Sarabande seems to have put a lot of time and effort in this release.
First of all the packaging is great and the little Freddy sweater tops it off nicely. Inside there is a great book (that I have attached at the bottom of the page) with original artwork from each film and the composers talking about the films and their scores. Each disc’s slipcase fits together to make the new Freddy artwork that’s on the booklet. All this incased in a black and silver box covered with a 
knitted Freddy sweater slipcase. It’s great to have all of these scores at your fingertips. I will say I don’t care for all of them but the first films score is iconic and I do love the scores for DREAM WARRIORS and THE DREAM MASTER.
It is/was a pricey set at $100. I can imagine that it’s already OOP because I have seen them going on eBay for more than that. I would definitely recommend picking one up for yourself. I know the current craze is wax, but this is going to fit in perfectly on your shelf with the rest of your collection!

New artwork has been commissioned for the set by artist Shawn Conn, and assembling the CD sleeves next to one another forms a larger piece of art. The pictures above include a sample of an individual sleeve from the front and back, as well as the larger piece of art that is created when all 8 sleeves are placed alongside each other. Before you have any nightmares, please don’t worry … the original Matthew Joseph Peak creations are included in the accompanying booklet.
