30th Anniversary? “Who Ya Gonna Call?”

I ran across this yesterday and had to post it. With the 30th Anniversary of Ghostbusters looming and the 25th of Ghostbusters 2 we are being treated to a blu-ray collection from the official site. You can get both films remastered with new 4K Transfers and new special features as well as the ones that we have already been given for both films! The real kicker is the collectors edition! Both films come in a digi-book and have a hand painted Slimer statue that is very similar to the one that came with the collectors edition of the video game. Unfortunately it seems that it may only be available from the official Ghostbusters store and has a killer $150.00 price tag scheduled to ship on or before September 16, 2014.

I myself will probably buy both the individual discs unless the price comes down or can get it cheaper elsewhere.

Buy the gift set here.

ALSO on that store is the re-pressing of the Ghostbusters glow-in-the-dark vinyl! At only $16.98 it is a must have! Buy it here.

From the site:

Legacy Recordings celebrates the 30th anniversary of the film with a collectible pressing of the worldwide No. 1 hit theme song by Ray Parker Jr.

Backed with its original 1984 dance remixes this special release is pressed on 10″ glow-in-the-dark “Ecto green” vinyl.
